Copper wire Thefts in Kingsville and Leamington

Essex County Ontario Provincial Police is looking for leads pertaining to a break and enter and theft of a large quantity of copper wire from a business near Mersea Road 5 in Leamington on August 22nd.
On the 18th of August, a similar incident occurred from a business in the area of County Road 31 in Kingsville whereas suspects broke into a business and stole a large quantity of 600 Volt copper core cable wire.
Police can not eliminate the possibility that both incidents are related.
Both thefts would have required the work of several suspects as the total length of the heavy ¾ inch thick wire would have been 450 feet long. The total weight of the stolen wire would have been approximately 400 pounds.
The combined value of the copper wire is approximately $450 thousand dollars.
Police are looking for the people responsible for these thefts and anyone who would have purchased the wire on the black market.
