LaSalle Police Service Investigating Residential Arson

The LaSalle Police Service is continuing to investigate an arson incident involving a residence in the 2400 block of Todd Lane in the Town of LaSalle.

On July 23, 2026, at approximately 10:28 p.m., LaSalle Police and LaSalle Fire Service responded to a reported house fire. Firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the blaze; however, significant damage was sustained to several rooms on the main floor of the residence.

Following a joint investigation conducted by members of the LaSalle Police Service and LaSalle Fire Service, the fire has been determined to have been intentionally set.

Investigators have been conducting extensive neighbourhood canvassing and are seeking the public's assistance as the investigation continues. Of particular interest is a lone individual operating a Vespa-style scooter that may have been travelling to or from the Todd Lane area around the time of the incident. Investigators believe the scooter may have had clear or opaque jugs attached to the rear at some point.
