12 Foot Long Gates Stolen from the Greenway Trail in Essex

Two heavy 12 foot gates preventing motorized vehicles from accesssing the Cypher Systems Greenway in Essex were stolen sometime between the 19th and 24th of March 2025.

Thievs used a significant amount of preparation as the removal of these gates would have required advanced tools and loading the heavy gates into a large trailer.

OPP INVESTIGATING BREAK AND ENTER IN LAKESHORE

(LAKESHORE, ON) - Police are investigating a break-in and theft from a residence in Lakeshore.

On Friday, March 7, 2025, at approximately 3:27 p.m., four individuals attended a residence on Daniela Crescent in the Municipality of Lakeshore.

The individuals arrived in a blue or dark grey SUV (possibly a Hyundai Sante Fe) and gained access to the house and removed numerous items. They then left in the SUV.

Suspects were described as four slim male parties who all wore surgical masks and dark baseball caps. One suspect wore a light grey sweater and had a backpack, one wore an olive green coloured sweater and one wore a plaid shirt. and is appealing to the public for assistance to identify those responsible.

POLICE SEEK ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECT

On February 27th, at 3 a.m. Windsor Police officers responded to a report of an armed robbery in the 800 block of Campbell Ave.  A female suspect entered the business armed with a handgun, threatening an employee and demanding money. The suspect fled the scene after obtaining currency, cigarettes, and lighters.

Investigators are asking residents and business owners in the area to review their dash-cam or surveillance footage between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m.

POLICE SEEK SUSPECTS AFTER COUNTERFEIT U.S. CASH USED AT STORES

On January 9 and 10th, a male and female suspect attended three retail stores across Windsor. The pair used over $5,000 in counterfeit U.S. $50 bills to purchase items and received Canadian currency in change, bringing the total value of goods and currency received to more than $5,900.

The suspects are believed to be driving a white sports utility vehicle, possibly a Volkswagen Atlas or Tiguan.

ESSEX OPP INVESTIGATING A THEFT FROM A PROPERTY IN KINGSVILLE

Sometime January 2 and January 3, 2025, unknown individual(s) attended the property and stole a Yurt.

The suspect(s) also noticed that there was a trail camera on the property and remove the SD card from the device, preventing any video recordings.

OPP SEEK IDENTIFICATION OF BREAK AND ENTER SUSPECTS

On Saturday, January 4 at 1:50 a.m., two individuals attended a business in the 1000 block of County Road 22 in the community of Puce.

The individuals arrived in a white SUV, possibly a GMC Terrain , gained access to the building and removed numerous items including liquor, cigarettes and cash. The individuals left the scene in the white SUV that had a broken rear window.

LASALLE POLICE SEEKING IDENTIFICATION OF SUSPECT WANTED FOR THEFT

The LaSalle Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance to identify a suspect wanted for Theft Under $5000 from a retail store in the 1700 block of Sprucewood.

On December 19th at 3:55PM, the suspect stole several items and then fled the area.

Description: Black or East Indian male with a medium build, ~5’9”-6’, and has a full beard

SUSPECT WANTED FOR ASSAULT

On November 3 rd at 730pm. Windsor Police responded to a report of an assault outside a

grocery store in the 700 block of Crawford Avenue. Officers learned that a man physically struck

a stranger multiple times following an argument in the store’s parking lot.

POLICE ARREST 2 SUSPECTS, ISSUE WARRANT FOR THIRD AFTER BREAK-AND-ENTER

Case 24-119343

The Windsor Police Service has arrested two suspects and issued a warrant for a third person in connection to a residential break-and-enter.

On October 1, 2024, officers responded to a report of a break-in at a house in the 6300 block of Riverside Drive East. A preliminary investigation revealed that two people had broken into the home while a third person waited in a vehicle in the driveway. The suspects stole multiple items, including jewellery, a computer, and an electric bicycle.

The Windsor Police Target Base Unit took over the investigation and quickly identified the three suspects with the assistance of video surveillance footage and other investigative techniques. On October 2, officers located and arrested two of the three individuals in the 600 block of Aylmer Avenue.

Rogelio Nativi, 46, and Melissa Lanno, 28, have each been charged with:

• Break-and-enter and commit/dwelling house

• Possession of property obtained by crime not exceeding $5,000

• Breach of a judicial order

A warrant has been issued for David Lanno, 41, who remains outstanding. Lanno is described as a white male, 5’8” tall, approximately 150lbs, with black hair and blue eyes.
