Police seek Arson Suspect

Suspect sought in arson at Walkerville business

The Windsor Police Service is asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect in connection with an arson at a commercial business in Walkerville.

Shortly after 4 a.m. on April 3, 2026, officers responded to a report of a structural fire in the 1000 block of Wyandotte Street East. Windsor Fire and Rescue Services attended and extinguished the blaze. No injuries were reported, but the fire caused extensive damage to the rear of the building.

Members of the Windsor Police Arson Unit determined that the fire had been intentionally set. Surveillance footage captured an unidentified suspect riding a bicycle to the rear of the business, where he poured an accelerant onto a wooden structure and set it on fire before leaving the area on the bicycle.

Investigators are releasing surveillance video of the suspect and asking for the public’s assistance in identifying him.
