Police investigating suspicious house fire downtown

The Windsor Police Service is investigating a suspicious residential fire in the downtown area.

Shortly before 12 a.m. on May 21, 2026, officers responded to an active house fire in the 400 block of Curry Avenue. Members of Windsor Fire and Rescue Services also attended the scene and successfully extinguished the blaze.

No physical injuries were reported.

The Windsor Police Arson Unit has launched an investigation and is asking residents in the area to review any surveillance or dashcam footage that may have captured activity around the time of the incident.
